Remove Security Breeches to Your Home and Business

As security is so important today, we need to protect our family and employees from actual as well as perceived threats and security breeches.  These are disruptions that impact both life and the productivity levels at work that we can eliminate by trying assessing potential risks.

The installation of an effective security system is a good place to start as this works well on both fronts. In a home, individual alarm codes that are changed on a regular basis to safeguard the family during frequent changes in relationships is a good idea. Not changing the codes can result in a security breech.  In the workplace, keycards ensure that each employee has his or her own code to check in and out. It is usually the disgruntled employees who perpetrate petty crimes of theft and damage rather than regular vendors and the occasional visitor.

Darkness provides a natural cover for criminals. Therefore it is recommended to leave a couple of lights on as a signal that to others that people are about.  Lights are also for the policeman or guard to notice any untoward occurrence or shady looking loiterers

It is necessary to ensure that the view of the house or premises, its entrances or vantage points is not obstructed by trees, shrubbery or overgrowth. A clear view will deter intending intruders from trying to gain access by using the shadows of these overgrown trees and shrubs. Items which will help someone to enter or break-in such as a ladder or tools to jimmy the locks should never be left lying around. It will be a temptation for the person to try his luck, especially if your home was already on his target list.

Install cleverly positioned lighting whether it is motion sensitive or solar to light dark spaces like under the windows or the entryway. Implementing some or all of these ideas will remove the opportunity that allow intruders to invade your property.
